Aftercare

Healing with DermShield / Saniderm

Gently clean and pat dry the tattoo and surrounding area, ensuring there is no soap or any residue on the skin.  Cut the bandage to cover tattooed area plus a 1 to 2 inch margin from the edge of the tattoo. Peel off the backing to expose adhesive side and position the bandage over the tattoo with the adhesive side facing the skin. Gently apply using light pressure, starting from the center to the edges to eliminate air bubbles. Do not stretch the Bandage during application.

The first bandage application should stay in place for 24 hours, depending on level of exudation. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.

A second application can be used for several days, and a third application may be used if necessary. Gently clean and dry the area between applications. Do not wear any piece longer than one week.

Directions for Removal:Gently peel the bandage by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.

Tattoo FAQ

I’m currently comfortable doing primarily black and grey work that utilizes whip shading and pointilism, but sometimes black and grey shading. I’ve done select color work, but am not open to full color pieces at this time. If I open up my books for color work, I will post about it.

I’m most comfortable tattooing arms and legs, but will make case by case exceptions for other body parts such as torsos and hands. No neck/face/feet tattoos at this time.

My availability is pretty standard every week, but I will try and post openings at the beginning of each week and as they become available. Please reach out to me by email with any questions!
